Resources include a visual library, information on biotech and career center.
Teachers can participate in an “activity exchange” or connect
with teachers and researchers through the collaboration page. “What’s
New” provides up-to-date information and an additional page focused
on health includes more resources such as online scientific mysteries and
x-ray images of skeletons.
Biology Education Online (BEoN)

A peer-reviewed, online journal for teaching and learning science,
by and for K-16 educators. BEoN develops and publishes a collection of
new, interactive, participatory resources that exemplify the multimedia
capabilities inherent in the Internet for the advancement of teaching and
learning science, consistent with the goals and standards of the National
Science Education Standards and the AAAS Benchmarks for Science Literacy.

This site has excellent lessons covering cell basics, biotechniques,
drug development, personalized medicine, stem cells, cloning, and gene
therapy.
NIH Curriculum Supplement Series

Interactive teaching units that combine cutting-edge science research
discoveries from the National Institutes of Health with state-of-the-art
instructional materials are available for elementary, middle and high school
students. Each supplement is a teacher’s guide to two weeks of lessons
on science and human health. This series is free to science teachers and
school administrators, consistent with National Science Education Standards,
targets grades K-12, and incorporates real scientific data. New supplements
are released each year.
