Did you know?

In 2001, making ethanol for biofuels from cellulose cost $5 per gallon for any commercial venture. Since then, private companies have partnered with the United States Department of Energy to reduce the cost of enzyme-based production of ethanol from cellulose. The cost in 2006 declined to $1.50 per gallon.
