As a Medical Technologist Michael analyzes specimens that are drawn in the doctors office or in the ER and he conducts urinalysis, arterial blood gas monitoring and toxicology. When a patient is unable to tell the doctor what drugs they have taken it is Michael’s job to find out what it is. In stat lab he has to be very efficient, accurate, and fast because a person’s life could be in the balance.
